Mere Dad Ki Maruti is the second film of Y-Films, under the flagship of YRF, with the purpose of targeting youth audience. This kind of movies heavily relies on the events, happenings and dialogues in the movie. And Mere Dad Ki Maruti gets it all.

MDKM is set in the backdrop of a Punjabi Big- Fat wedding in Chandigarh. Sameer (Saqib Saleem) is a
Chandigarh guy, who lives his life care-free. His father (Ram Kapoor) scolds Sameer about anything that he is not doing right according to him. One night, Sameer without asking, takes the recently bought car by his father, on a ride to impress his college dream girl. Further, the story is about how Sameer's life turns upside down when the car goes missing.

The first half is mostly about the life of Sameer and his adventures. The major fun begins after interval
when numerous unpredictable events takes place, which keeps audience engaged. The dialogues are quirky enough for good laughs. Saqib Saleem and Prabal Panjabi(Gattu) makes the mark as a witty, fun loving Chandigarh guy. Ram Kapoor comic timing is impressive.

Mere Dad Ki Maruti is a good fun movie. Family audience and youths will love it for sure.
